Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant I for a temporary role in a professional office setting. The ideal candidate will have general accounting experience and be comfortable performing a variety of accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Post daily transactions to general ledgers and perform account reconciliations.

Conduct research and document clearing entries.

Balance Regional and Corporate Office cash to the general ledger.

Review and distribute departmental mail, including vendor/tenant check processing.

Manage Accounts Payable duties, including vendor relationships, invoice processing, and 1099-MISC reporting.

Perform Accounts Receivable tasks, ensuring timely collection of rental income and other payments.

Maintain Assets & Prepaids subledgers according to policies and procedures.

Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers following established procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience in general financial accounting with basic knowledge of accounting principles or formal accounting training.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
