Assistant Project Scientist in Education University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10708 The UCLA School of Education & Information Studies invites applications for a Project Scientist position. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty on a number of projects focused on the implementation of Autism intervention in school settings. This is a non-tenure track academic appointment intended for individuals who have demonstrated significant, creative, and independent contributions to research. Position Description: The Project Scientist will be responsible for advancing the research objectives of the program by conducting extensive scientific research, collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and publishing and presenting research to disseminate findings. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing implementation support and coaching to school administrators and educators to drive research projects forward. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of scholarship, the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities include: Designing and conducting scientific experiments and school-based implementation research. Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data. Collaborating with scientists, researchers, school administrators, and educators to support interdisciplinary projects. Conducting literature reviews and maintaining current knowledge of the field. Planning and executing research projects in coordination with team members. Presenting research findings at meetings, conferences, and other scholarly venues. Mentoring junior research staff, including research assistants and coordinators. Contributing to the preparation and publication of manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. Developing and refining research methodologies and protocols. Assisting with grant writing and contributing to securing research funding. Representing the research program at academic and professional conferences.
