Overview
Join a 100-year-old leader in the construction services and supplies industry in their outside sales account management position, which is a key role in their overall sales organization. This position offers an optimal blend of new business development and account management within a well-established territory. Main Sales Product Categories include Struts, Threaded Rod, Hardware & Pipe Hangers, Anchors, Fasteners.

Responsibilities:

• Selling construction product lines/categories in support of company objectives.
• Maintaining and expanding customer base (net accounts); building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
• Partner with sales leadership to develop sales strategies to grow market share.
• Work with E-Commerce Manager on e-business for major product lines.
• Assist in setting marketing strategy for Commercial Construction, Manufacturing product lines.
• Work closely with operations and territory managers on sales objectives and stock plans.
• Set up educational workshops: internal for Sales teams and external for customers.
• Meet/engage with core vendors regularly, with the participation of procurement team.
• Ensure up-to-date status of product lines; remove obsolete lines and promote new ones.
• Recommend new product lines / new technology that can help increase market share.
• Identify customer needs and competitive sales trends in the industry.
• Partner with procurement team on supplier terms, deadstock reduction, and overall process.

Qualifications:

• 5 years sales experience in Construction, Manufacturing or Industrial Supplies sales.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, Salesforce.
• Versed in product training, demonstration, education for clients and customers.
• Enjoys working in a team-focused, collaborative, positive environment.
• Accustomed to meeting and exceeding sales goals and established metrics.
