Overview
The Senior Financial Services Representative is responsible for opening new accounts and performing maintenance with accuracy, efficiency and professionalism, meeting the high quality service delivery standards of the Bank. Senior Financial Services Representative is responsive to the needs of both internal and external customers by maintaining a thorough knowledge of and introducing bank services and products that may be of interest to them. Senior Financial Service Representative require excellent customer service and communication skills in order to deepen customer relationships and satisfaction. This position requires you to be highly organized and detail oriented, with strong multitasking, problem-solving and follow-up skills.

Incumbents in this position are typically more experienced in New Accounts who can handle the full range of retail and commercial transactions. This position may have modest approval limits, so exercising good judgment and guidance to others is critical.
Responsibilities

  • Handles all facets of new accounts including opening new accounts, superseding accounts, account maintenance, research projects, ordering checks and notary services.
  • Cross-selling Pacific Western Bank Products and Services through a thorough knowledge of services and customer needs.
  • Assist with daily and monthly audits and certifications. Prepare documentation for new accounts under the Bank’s CIP/BSA and other Bank policies.
  • Maintain a high level knowledge of legal documentation required for various entity types.
  • Input new accounts on ITI and submit complete package.
  • Have a knowledge of and be a backup to other operational duties including teller and assisting the Assistant Branch Operations Manager and Branch Operations Manager.
  • Provide assistance with end of day closing, to include cash balancing (vault & ATM)
  • Assist with processing and scanning of daily teller work.
  • Maintain a high level knowledge of treasury management products and the ability to identify when to cross sell these products.
  • Help with the training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Participate and contribute to the branch’s overall goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Minimum of three years of New Accounts experience required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills including proper telephone etiquette
  • Basic math skills
  • Accurate typing and basic computer skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Good written and verbal skills required
  • Detailed and accurate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team oriented environment

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred
  • Experience in cross-selling services preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Local travel may be required
  • Role requires sitting or standing in front of a computer monitor for prolonged periods of time in a fixed neck position.
  • Constant use of a computer or other office equipment resulting in repeating motions of the hands and wrists.
  • Light work that may include moving objects up to 20 pounds

National Base Pay Range (annual): $44,582.83 to $75,924.14

Final salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with geographic/market data.
