Postdoctoral Scholar – Interventional Translational Research Laboratory – Kaneko Lab University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF09337 Dr. Kaneko’s lab, the Interventional Translational Research Laboratory at UCLA is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to explore intracranial artery disease and flow dynamics. Our team uses a multidisciplinary approach, including in vitro cell culture, animal models, and analysis of human samples. The successful scientist will collaborate with the principal investigator and other team members to develop research plans, execute experiments, analyze data and lead projects in vascular biology, focusing on high-resolution gene expression profiling techniques. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the PI and team members to develop research plans, experimental designs, and data collection methods, and contribute to the overall goals of the lab. Collaborate within and outside the lab. Conduct innovative research in vascular biology, specifically targeting intracranial artery disease. Utilize techniques like western blotting, qPCR, immunostaining, and scanning, gene expression profiling, alongside bioinformatics analysis for data interpretation. Maintain accurate and organized records of experimental procedures, data, and analyses. Prepare research reports, scientific papers, and presentations summarizing findings, methodologies, and conclusions for publication and conferences. Write and review research grant proposals to secure funding for the project. Presenting findings at domestic and international conferences.
