General Anesthesiology Faculty Position (Clinical) University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF09698 The UCLA Department of Anesthesiology is represented by all anesthesia subspecialties (cardiac, obstetric, neurologic, ophthalmic, pediatric, liver, transplant, pain management, and critical care.) Faculty positions in all areas become available periodically. Appointment in the Health Sciences Clinical Educator Academic Professorial Series requires clinical and didactic skills, possession or eligibility for a California Medical License and American Board of Anesthesiology certification, or in process. Interest or experience in clinical research is desirable. Appointment as an Associate Professor or Full Professor requires demonstration of continuous and effective engagement in creative activities of high quality and significance. Basic Qualifications & Requirements: M.D. or equivalent Documentation of CA Medical License & DEA Certificate Completion of Anesthesiology Residency & 1 Year of Fellowship for Faculty Title Successful completion of the oral examination of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) The posted UC salary scales ( https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html ) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5, Scale 8. The salary range for this position is $260,000 – $430,000 based on Rank and Step. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan ( https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf ), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
