Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The incumbent serves as the organization-wide expert authority and local point of contact for the Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP) at the University of California, Irvine Campus (excluding Health and Police). Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring WV policies and regulations to ensure compliance. This involves program administration, stakeholder collaboration, training provision, proactive site inspection, managing the WV Incident Log (investigation, data collection, analysis, reporting, and corrective/preventative action assignment and tracking). Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support for the Consultation Team (Campus’ Behavioral Intervention Team) . Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Expert knowledge and skill in applying and interpreting applicable local, state, and federal regulations and related standards, guidelines and, as appropriate, recommend organization or systemwide policy. Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including advanced polit Advanced analytical skills and ability to organize, prioritize and manage the successful completion of high-level and potentially complex projects within budget and time constraints. Expert skill to effectively represent the organization to state and federal authorities, and community groups. Expert knowledge / understanding of specific field and strong knowledge of all fields. Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills, including advanced political acumen and skill to deal with diverse constituencies in a highly political environment. Expert skill in mentoring or overseeing the work of other technical and professional staff. Expert knowledge of threat assessment and mitigation strategies Expert knowledge / understanding of Workplace Violence, including threat assessment/management strategies. Expert knowledge and skill in applying and interpreting applicable local, state, and federal regulations and related standards, guidelines and, as appropriate, recommend organization or systemwide policy. Prior experience in a position involving considerable judgment and discretion Background in WVPP implementation in large employer settings Prior experience and training investigating workplace violence incidents Preferred Qualifications: Expert skill to appropriately use technology and relevant scientific equipment as required.
