Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Unit Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit. Specific duties include performing reception functions. collecting and compiling patient data. assembling medical records. and assisting with patient admission/discharge. Performs routine patient care functions as needed and will perform other related duties as required. Required Qualifications: Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Certification within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
