Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Analysis to analyze competitive intelligence and conduct Position to Win (PoTW) analysis. The Senior Manager will support the $7.6B Air and Space Defense Systems Strategic (ASDS) Business Unit. Duties include synthesizing intelligence from primary and secondary sources to recommend Raytheon’s most strategic positioning on US and international pursuits. The Senior Manager regularly presents findings and recommendations to executive level audiences. The Senior Manager works closely yet independently with a cross-functional teams to determine competitor technical solution(s), bid strategy and probable behavior. The role requires a strong ability to apply creative initiative in PTW analysis, tools, methodologies, and practices. The successful candidate will have a record of success in building support, motivating others, promoting teamwork, fostering open communication, establishing trust, and showing adaptability.

What You Will Do
- Partner with capture teams to develop independent PoTW analysis for competitive captures
- Employ a variety of PoTW methodologies to develop estimates of prospective competitor offerings using cost and statistical modeling tools
- Utilize competitive intelligence to develop a competitive bid strategy recommendation
- Use cost modeling tools to effectively capture key information, devising and recommending bidding strategies and PTW recommendations to effectively gain competitive advantages against competitor’s predicted proposed offering
- Present with presence and influence to gain “buy-in” with the capture team executive level audience
- Possible work locations: CA – El Segundo, CO – Aurora, TX – McKinney, VA – Dulles
What You Will Learn
- Manage system integration projects and provide reliable data to the Customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout and test of operational system modifications and upgrades
- Communicate with many levels of program, other contractor and government stakeholders and works to positively guide parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices
Qualifications You Must Have
- A University Degree and minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 7 years’ experience
- Minimum of 5 years capture, proposal or engineering experience
- Experience analyzing, interpreting and responding to Request for Proposals (RFP)
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of Raytheon Space portfolio, capabilities, and products
- In-depth understanding of position to win, from either commercial or defense
- Strong familiarity with Raytheon’s major competitors and with associated competitor/industry knowledge
- Understand current technology, engineering disciplines, rapid development of high-level architectures, and architecture costing
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SCI security clearance

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD – 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
