As part of the Imaging Services Team, the Imaging Services Supervisor provides supervisory and technical support for the department. Provides for the appropriate and efficient day to day technical operations in the delivery of departmental services that meet or exceed customer needs and requirements. Essential Duties: Responsible organization, planning and directing activities relating to patients, procedures and department workflow. Responsible for maintaining departmental supplies to par levels set. Responsible for facilitating cross training of personnel where possible. Responsible for serving as consultant and instructor for all breast imaging personnel to prepare them for and assist them in their duties. Responsible for the evaluation process of the department’s staff. Responsible for reporting quality control, quality assurance and radiation safety issues to the department director. Supervises and maintains department staffs CEUs and current licenses. Responsible for the timely repair and servicing of all departmental equipment. Willingly performs other related duties, task or project outside immediate work area as assigned or required (i.e., scheduling, clerical) by the Department Director. Is a mentor to and is a source of information for students and less experienced Technologist. Is an ambassador of good will when interacting with all staff members and other departments. Uses the chain of command appropriately to communicate any concerns with the department, co-workers or medical staff. Exhibits organizational skills and utilizes time efficiently. Able to be reached via cell phone while on duty and after-hours including nights and weekends. . Takes a leadership role in the development of service resources to accomplish daily task. Handles difficult situations in a discreet and professional manner. Demonstrates ethical behavior in decision making and the performance of services. Assists maintaining technical staff license records. Maintains staff/patient confidentiality. Demonstrates respect and cooperation in all staff relationships, and a genuine willingness to prevent or resolve interpersonal conflict. Demonstrates the ability to participate in and/or implement team decisions. Oversees that biopsy recordings are in Rad Path book. Supervises that pathology results are obtained and that rad-path correlations are prepare for radiologist. Supervises that rad-path correlation is done in a timely manner (same day as results are available) and that addendums to rad-path reports are in MagView/Cerner. Is responsible for overseeing accuracy of scheduled biopsy patients. Oversees coordination of all outside consult biopsy patients and that cases are reviewed in advance to ensure all necessary records are available to proceed. May need to attend multi-disciplinary conference. Responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing that staff has accordingly entered pathology in reporting system, that smooth hand off to cancer navigator has taken place, that calls to BiRads 0 patients with results and explanation of results was performed, that requests for packets and biopsy meds and requests for contrast enhanced mammography are processed accordingly and that patients provide education resources accordingly. Demonstrates knowledge of California State regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Req High School or equivalent Req Specialized/technical training Graduate of an AMA approved 2-year Radiologic Technology Program. Req Specialized/technical training Graduate of an accredited Mammography Certified Program Req 2 years Experience in a Supervisory or Lead Technologist role. Req Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently. Req Demonstrates ability to effectively work with physicians, staff, and patients. Req Organization/time management skills. Req Proven history of success in MQSA and ACR. Preferred Qualifications: Pref Venipuncture Certification Preferred Required Licenses/Certifications: Req Registered Technologist – R.T. (ARRT) Req Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH) Req Mammography (ARRT) Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only) The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 – $158,230.00.
