Staff Accountant
9am-5pm hours (37.5 work week)

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce platforms and digital marketing strategies. Process customer invoices and payments accurately and efficiently; Manage customer accounts and track outstanding balances. Collect past-due payments and resolve customer inquiries; Prepare and submit credit memos and adjustments
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce platforms.
Duties:
– Process customer invoices accurately and efficiently.
-Manage customer accounts and track outstanding balances.
-Collect past-due payments and resolve customer inquiries
-Prepare and submit credit memos and adjustments.
– Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
– Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions. Reconcile unpaid and paid invoices.
– Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly transfers to accounts receivable account, verifying totals, and preparing reports.
Additional Duties:
– Provide administrative support to the accounting team!
– Researches and negotiates chargeback claims.
– Manage reconcile expense reports.
-Stay up to date on accounting regulations and best practices.
Experience:
-Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, sumifs, macros) – PROVIDE SCORES
-Strong Quickbooks proficiency – PROVIDE SCORES
-Would like to see candidates with degrees (but open to those with more work experience without)
– Highly prefers proficiency in e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento
– Experience with bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
– Knowledge of corporate accounting principles and GAAP standards
– Strong analytical skills for account analysis and budgeting
– Background in financial services is a plus
