Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development team.
What you will do:
- Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
- Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
- Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar mode independent functions and capabilities, using various languages, tools, applications.
- Strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
- Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal and external
- Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews
- Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
- Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
- Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
- Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus
- Must be able to obtain “special access programs” (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.
Qualifications you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in embedded software development
- Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools in radar-development software is required.
- Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS
- Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
- Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system
- Clearance: Must have current active DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security clearances.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Current Top Secret Clearance
- Experience developing Radar Software applications
- Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
- Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD – 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
