We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant near the 90301 area. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide crucial support to attorneys in various legal processes. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will help ensure the efficient operation of our firm.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts.
– Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
– Manage case files, including filing and maintaining documentation.
– Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings.
– Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties involved in legal matters.
– Perform general administrative duties, such as answering phones and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in paralegal studies or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered. Recent experience as a legal assistant or in a legal environment is a plus (2 years or more). Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
