Green Light Wiring is an electrical contractor with over 17 years of experience installing low voltage systems for some of the biggest retail corporations in the United States. We are a C-10 licensed electrical contracting company that specializes in commercial CCTV, computer, telephone networks, fire, security alarms. Based out of Temecula, California, Green Light Wiring serves the entire Southern California area. We currently serve Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles counties. We have recently expanded our operations to also include Anchorage, Phoenix and Las Vegas Valleys.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structured Cabling Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems for data and voice networks. The technician will be responsible for running, pulling, and terminating cable, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise with the cabling infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for data and voice networks
- Run, pull, and terminate cable
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cabling infrastructure
- Maintain and update documentation for cabling infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide technical support to other members of the team
- Installation and troubleshooting of category 5e, coax, fiber optic, 25 pair and alarm cabling
- Understand and install cable pathway per current standards
- Proficient with installation of racking system, termination and dressing cable in network closets
- Work off of ladders, man lifts or boom lifts
- Installation and troubleshooting of CCTV, computer, telephone networks and security alarms
- Terminating cables with jacks, modular plugs, 66 blocks and 110 blocks
- Installing devices such as cameras, printers, access points, digital menu boards, routers, switches, DVRs, phones, card readers, door strikes, sensors, pull-stations, speakers, TV/Monitors, among other devices.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in structured cabling
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g. TIA/EIA, NEC)
- Experience with various types of cabling (e.g. copper, fiber)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically capable of: Bending, squatting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs, able to crawl in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces), able to work at heights (ladders, lifts, roofs) and lift material and tools common to the electrical trade.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- CCTV camera experience
- Experience with pipe bending
- Able to read and work off of blueprints
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification in structured cabling is a plus
