The Recruitment Events Manager is responsible for creating and planning dynamic and engaging events to drive new student enrollment. The position leads the student-worker events team and the ambassador program. This position is responsible for leading all programming and managing all recruitment events on campus and virtual for undergraduate admissions. The person in this role will lead and coordinate an average of 3-4 events weekly. These events are critical to the new student recruitment process and significantly impact enrollment yield. The recruitment events manager must be meticulous and organized, be able to coordinate multiple moving parts under pressure and ensure that any last-minute changes or obstacles are handled with minimal disruption. Required Education ? Bachelor’s degree required Required Experience ? One to two years of leadership experience. ? One to two years of event-creating and planning experience. ? Demonstrated ability to work effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. ? Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment effectively. ? Willingness to delegate tasks and organize a team. ? Ability to communicate and negotiate with external vendors and service providers. Primary Duties/Essential Functions ? Raise awareness and interest of the university through events. ? Develop strong partnerships with internal partners to successfully collaborate in the development of events. ? Drive enrollment with compelling events. ? Regularly monitor event attendance and provide weekly reports to the executive director. ? Ensure event programming is relevant to prospective students and families. ? Maintain accurate records of all expenditures relates to events. ? Work closely with marketing to effectively promote events through multiple channels. ? Ensure all publicized event information is updated and accurate. ? Create and execute admissions event programming (both in person and virtual). ? Assist in the coordination and management of academic-specific recruiting events. ? Hire, train, and supervise the student events team. ? Hire, train, and supervise student ambassadors for hosting during overnight events. ? Test, manage, and train staff on using the Slate Events module as implementation requires. ? Approve timecards and Concur reimbursements for the student-worker team. ? Willingness and flexibility, working on weekends and evenings. ? Exemplary focus, participation, and commitment to the department’s goals. Skills ? Must be able to operate professionally in fast-paced, high-demand environments. ? Must have exceptional customer service skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion. ? Self-starter attitude ? Ability to plan and execute projects with many moving parts. ? Strong organizational and management skills. ? Proficient in data entry, analysis, and quality control monitoring. ? Strong written and verbal communication skills. ? Must be collaborative and an effective team member and team builder. Mental Demands ? Ability to affirm, support, and sustain the identity statements in agreement with the purpose and goals of ? Ability to learn, retain and document procedures and policy information ? Ability to cope with regular interruptions. Physical Demands ? Requires repetitive motion and sitting at computer keyboard for extended periods of time. ? Hearing and speaking on DialPad. ? Meetings may require walking and/or driving to various University locations. ? Availability to drive and travel locally, and on occasion, nationally. Must be currently licensed to drive in the state of California. ? Ability to pull, push, bend, grasp, reach and lift up to 20 lbs. ? Must be able to climb stairs multiple times in a work day. Visual Demands ? Computer monitor and reading. Environment ? Pleasant office, comfortable temperatures. Technologies ? Proficient in Google Apps., Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Compensation Grade 11: $68,640 to $72,894 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
