Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable/payable process, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while adhering to accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry tasks related to invoicing and payment processing such as billing retainers, recording consultant fees, providing receipts to clients using QuickBooks.
- Reconcile credit card statements monthly
- Manage the revenue cycle by monitoring accounts receivable aging reports and following up on overdue accounts.
- Collaborate with the project managers to keep billing up to date and resolve billing discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential for managing accounts receivable functions effectively. (1-2 years of QuickBooks experience)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
