The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician Educator). The Division of Hematology-Oncology at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) within the Department of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California (USC) is recruiting for an Assistant Professor specializing in Classical Hematology. He/She will hold a primary academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics of the USC Keck School of Medicine at the level of Assistant Professor. In this position, he/she is expected to provide clinical care with the Hematology service and the remainder of the time will be dedicated to research and education. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year post fellowship experience with an academic interest in Sickle Cell Disease, thalassemia, iron disorders, red cell disorders, bone marrow failure, coagulation or other non-malignant hematology domains. The Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) is the pediatric component of the NCI-designated USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and is one of the largest and top-ranked pediatric hematology-oncology programs in the U.S., serving one of our nations most diverse patient populations. It hosts an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellowship and advanced specialty post graduate sub-specialty fellowships. The CBDI has been continuously ranked by the U.S. News & World Report in the top ten pediatric cancer programs every year since the rankings were launched in 2008. Our large Clinical Trials Operation supports active clinical trials programs in hematology, oncology, and BMT and offers unsurpassed unique research opportunities through pediatric clinical trial consortia headquartered at the Center. CHLA is a premier pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with USC since 1932, which is the oldest private research university in the Western U.S. and among the top universities in the nation. The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904 -$325,712.
