Position Summary The Senior Project/Testing Manager of UCLA/UCPath Projects will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the necessary quality standards. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders, as well as managing risks and reporting on project progress. The Senior Project/Testing Manager is responsible for developing project strategies, setting timelines, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives. In addition to developing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software quality and lead testing efforts across various projects. They will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of multiple projects by leading, guiding, and mentoring project teams. In addition to collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions, assisting with debugging and problem resolution, and maintaining communication with both internal stakeholders and clients. This position requires experience with PeopleSoft and values SQL skills as an asset. This person will be working with UCLA and UCPath simultaneously on multiple and concurrent projects. Qualifications Proven experience managing budgets and resources to ensure successful project delivery. (Required) 7+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects within large organizations. (Preferred) Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, assign tasks, and manage competing priorities. (Required) Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices. Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft quality assurance principles and testing methodologies, including functional and non-functional testing. (Required) Proven problem-solving skills to identify, mitigate, report and resolve project/testing risks, bugs, and performance issues. (Required) Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially with clients and senior stakeholders. (Required) Ability to analyze project data/test results, track progress, and provide actionable insights to optimize project success and ensure software meets defined quality metrics. (Required) Strong leadership skills to provide guidance and feedback, fostering a collaborative team environment. (Required) Advanced interpersonal skills to work with diverse cross-functional teams and clients. (Required) Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. (Required) Ability to continuously evaluate, analyze/interpret test results, and improve project management processes for better results and continuous improvement. (Required) Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes to ensure project and software deliverables meet quality and functions standards. (Required) Familiarity with project management and testing tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, PeopleSoft, and SQL) to manage tasks and workflows. Ability to lead projects within Agile or other software development methodologies. (Required) Experience with PeopleSoft and SQL, including project management in systems implementation and integration within the PeopleSoft environment. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
