Job Title: Inserter Operator
Contract: Temporary to Perm
Location: Portland, OR
Reports To: Client Services Supervisor/Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inserter Operator to join our team. This role involves operating and troubleshooting insertion machinery and computer systems. Initial training will take place during the day shift, but the role will transition to second shift, where the candidate must be able to work independently and unsupervised.
Schedule & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday: 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Pay rate: $23/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot inserter machinery and related equipment.
  • Work with computer systems to manage and monitor operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in mail processing and insertion tasks.
  • Maintain organizational standards and prioritize workflow effectively.
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting (up to 70 lbs.), and reaching.
  • May perform one or more of the following tasks related to high-end equipment (Segment 5+):
  • Press operation, copier operation, bindery, fulfillment, quality control (QC), final check, pickup/delivery, facility maintenance, and mailroom duties.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience (5 years preferred).
  • Machine operation experience preferred; mechanical aptitude required.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
