SSSD has an opening for an Associate Engineer Electrical/Engineer Electrical to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
The Electrical Engineer will participate in all phases of the integration and test of a payload subsystem. Specific assignments will include requirements definition, development and execution of RF and digital test procedures, subsystem and test set troubleshooting, development of data analysis tools, test data review and analysis, participation in formal system testing, and anomaly resolution. Additional responsibilities include updating/generating Test Plans, evaluating requirements, generating electronic procedures, generating updating Automated Test Scripts, becoming familiar with test applications and test requirements, performing the calibration/validation for test racks, performing test equipment movement and setup, performing functional testing and documenting/troubleshooting test anomalies.
Task details:
– coming up to speed on the Spacecraft Flight Hardware, Software, and electrical ground support equipment
– requirements definition, creation and execution of automated test scripts (ATSs)
– test procedure authoring and execution using CAPE (computer aided procedure environment)
– verification/validation of subsystem and system level requirements
– cross-team collaboration
– development of data analysis tools
– test data review and analysis
– participation in formal system testing
– troubleshooting efforts and anomaly resolution

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate Engineer Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline and 0 Years of experience;
Engineer Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline and 2 Years of experience; 0 Years with Masters
* Two years of I&T experience is preferred but not required
* Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain at least DoD Secret Clearance
* Ability to Travel if required
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) is highly sought after.
* Digital Instrumentation and Command and Data Handling are a plus but not a determine factor
* Active Secret Clearance
*Salary Range: *$89,400 – $134,200
*Salary Range 2: *$74,000 – $111,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
