Overview

OPIR Systems Integration Senior Engineer

Mission: Deliver persistent space sensing for all-domain awareness in support of missile warning, tracking, defense, environmental monitoring, and tactical surveillance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate the planning, execution, and the results from Space Vehicle and Space to Ground architectures’ Integration, Test, Verification & Validation activities.
  • Provide Systems Engineering support for the planning, development and execution of the Launch readiness and On-orbit test data products to validate System performance, enabling transition to Operational Acceptance.
  • Assist with contracting actions, SOW development, competition analysis, and operations acceptance.
  • Support resilient space sensing architecture execution, acquisition documentation, and technology demonstrations.
  • Evaluate technical documentation (SEPs, IMPs, IMSs, contract deliverables) for compliance with DoD and SSC policies.
  • Ensure alignment of acquisition strategies, capability and solicitation documents with engineering plans and requirements.
  • Analyze program plans and activities for development, testing, sustainment, and compliance with defense directives.
  • Verify contract compliance across space, payload, and ground systems.
  • Participate in program reviews and provide technical findings to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 20+ years’ experience with Major Command-level processes, including requirements generation and PPBE.
  • Experience developing test plans for smaller acquisition programs (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Space Systems Comman procedures (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required.

Salary range 220k – 240k
