Senior Analyst – Accounts Payable

Role Overview

A leading U.S.-based organization is seeking a Senior Analyst, Accounting Operations to serve as a subject matter expert in global accounts payable activities. This individual contributor role plays a key part in ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time, while supporting integration efforts, financial systems, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a deep understanding of the Procure to Pay (P2P) process.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert in the Procure to Pay (P2P) process.
Support data cleanup and user acceptance testing (UAT) for financial system integrations and P2P implementation.
Act as a super user and business administrator for tax engine tools, supplier verification systems, and AP email platforms.
Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to develop KPIs, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
Troubleshoot strategic supplier issues and support AP specialists and analysts.
Create and manage an internal intranet subsite for communication, SOPs, and organizational updates.
Provide training and support to accounting specialists.
Prepare documentation for weekly, annual, and ad hoc audits.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required:

4+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or related P2P functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Proactive, self-starter with a strong interest in business process improvement.
Flexible schedule availability based on business needs.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements in AP and Accounting Operations.
Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

Experience in the airline industry.
Familiarity with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.
Experience with PeopleSoft, Tableau, and banking systems.
Background in systems implementation and policy enforcement.
