Pediatric Neurology – Health Sciences Clinical Track – Clinical Instructor/Assistant Clinical Professor University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10336 The Department of Pediatrics and Mattel Children’s Hospital of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA seek a faculty member to join the Division of Pediatric Neurology in the Health Sciences clinical track. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible for Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology and have at least 2-3 years of experience in an academic setting. Duties include patient care, both outpatient and inpatient attending service, teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and participation in clinical research or other scholarly endeavors that will lead to academic promotion. Experience and interest in neurotrauma and sports neurology as it relates to head injury, concussion, headache and dysautonomia is essential. Familiarity with the use of multiple concussion screening tests/tools, multimodal baseline testing and the limitations of these tests/tools is also necessary. Experience with moderate-severe pediatric traumatic brain injury, including neurocritical care consultation/monitoring and outpatient neurological follow-up is a plus. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, instruct and supervise trainees, obtain quality clinical research data and work on a multidisciplinary team.
