Title: Bookkeeper
Pay: $25/hr
Location: High Point, NC
Type: Temp to Hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
  • Utilize QuickBooks Advanced for accurate financial tracking and reporting
  • Process multi-state billing, ensuring compliance with various state regulations
  • Prepare and submit AIA billing documentation on time and in compliance with industry standards
  • Manage payroll processing, including wages, deductions, and tax filings
  • Oversee collections, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve billing issues
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing
  • Maintain well-organized and accurate financial records
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project costing
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in the construction industry
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state billing and AIA billing
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance
  • Solid understanding of collections and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with construction accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
