Job Title: Material Handler
Contract: Temporary
Location: Hopkinton, MA
Reports To: Client Services Supervisor/Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Material Handler. This is an entry-level warehouse role responsible for processing shipments, receiving goods, maintaining storage conditions, and ensuring cleanliness and compliance with documentation standards. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to handle temperature-sensitive products.
Schedule & Pay:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Pay rate: $19.71 – $23.88
Responsibilities:
- Package and prepare materials for shipment
- Process shipments electronically using applicable systems
- Receive incoming shipments: verify contents, inspect for damage, and document findings
- Match Bill of Lading (BOL) to corresponding shipment IDs
- Complete and submit receiving paperwork; enter data into systems
- Identify appropriate storage conditions for received products
- Monitor and maintain warehouse cleanliness and supplies
- Understand and apply proper temperature and timing requirements for shipping/storage
- Operate temperature monitoring devices
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Assist with after-hours emergencies to protect facility/product integrity
- Report any irregularities or issues to management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of related experience
- Strong math, reading, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
- Must be dependable, cooperative, and able to multitask
