Affordable Housing organization located in West Los Angeles is looking to hire a Jr. Asset Manager. Someone who has 1-3 years experience is HIGHLY desirable. Salary: $85,000.

DUTIES:

  • Must be proficient in MS office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with industry applications, specifically Yardi.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)
  • Familiarity with the concepts of real estate funding sources, debt, grants, capital contributions, subsidies

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform review of monthly property operating reports including key performance indicators and budget variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with other departments, outside partners, and property managers to ensure timely/accurate reporting and compliance with the regulatory agreements and in some cases to produce such reports.
  • Coordinate and/or produce annual/quarterly GP certifications.
  • Respond to ad hoc investor, partner, lender, or internal requests for portfolio information.
  • Review, manage, and approve annual budgets.
  • Monitor the construction timelines and stabilization period of new projects in the assigned portfolio.
  • Provide project management support for tax credit, construction, and permanent financing applications.
  • Perform operating project site visits: identify, prioritize, follow-up on project issues, work with partners to resolve issues.
  • Review and interpret agency regulatory agreements.
  • Provide support in the year end tax return and audit process through operating variance analysis, year over year change analysis.
  • Assist with the transition of development projects to operating, documentation of all key deal agreements.
  • Oversee and monitor the vacancy of each project in the assigned portfolio.
  • Monitor weekly rental collections for projects with Permanent Supportive Services and rental assistance funding partners.
  • Participate in collaborative periodic calls between Property management and Supportive Services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
