Applications Engineer
?? Location: Fountain Valley ?? $80,000–$100,000 DOE ?? Full-Time
We’re hiring an experienced Applications Engineer to support quoting, process development, and customer-facing technical support for both new and legacy assemblies. This is a critical, hands-on role driving engineering accuracy, cost efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to internal teams and customers
Review and interpret customer drawings, specs, and contract requirements
Collaborate with the quoting team on BOMs, labor estimates, and tooling needs
Assist in component selection, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements
Develop work instructions, time studies, and support estimator training
Support ECO processing and QA/assembly documentation compliance
Lead or assist with special projects, customer visits, and manufacturing integration
Requirements:
Experience in manufacturing, process, or applications engineering
Strong understanding of BOMs, labor quoting, and assembly methods
Ability to read technical drawings and specs (IPC-620 knowledge a plus)
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
