Job Title: HR Administrative Assistant
Location: Downtown Los Angeles
Employment Type: Full-Time – Temp to hire
Salary Range: $20-$23 per hour DOE
(might consider up to $24-$25 per hour that comes from non-profit and with bachelors degree)

You will work closely with the HR Director and collaborate with team members across benefits, payroll, recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting internal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the HR department
Maintain employee files and assist with compliance tracking and internal audits
Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and new hire paperwork
Assist with planning employee trainings and engagement events
Draft HR communications and maintain accurate documentation
Support payroll, benefits, and workers’ compensation processes
Collaborate with other departments to support HR initiatives
Manage purchase orders and help prepare for audits
Qualifications:
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or related field is a plus
1–2 years of HR administrative experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HRIS systems like Paychex Flex is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Must be comfortable working onsite at a downtown Los Angeles location nearby skid row
