Position Overview: Terminal Manager
Location: Columbia, SC 29201
Pay Rate: Competitive Salary + bonus up to 4% of salary, 2% of Terminal profits, 1% of budget and 1% of company profits.

Position Summery:
The Terminal Manager is responsible for the complete oversight of terminal operations, including coordinating dispatch, verifying and reviewing paperwork, staffing, ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures, and communicating with customers.
*This position must be available after hours and on weekends to respond to calls and incidents

Scope of work:
Analyzing and implementing effective solutions to business challenges.
Monitor and review Terminal financial documents, including monthly Profit and Loss statements, tractor and Trailer monthly revenue reports, and terminal operating costs
Monitor and review dispatch procedures for planning and efficiency.
Monitor and review log hours for drivers.
Implement strategies to maximize the efficiency of equipment and drivers.
Determine Terminal staffing needs, interview and recommend candidates to fill driver and non-driver positions.
Provides supervision, including evaluation of the performance of terminal drivers and staff.
Ensure the completion of training for all terminal personnel operating procedures.
Participate in customer meetings.
Oversee management of shop operations, including review of equipment files, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
Oversight of terminal purchases and inventory.
Plan, implement, and evaluate operating procedures for new customer requirements.
Small Terminal- 17 drivers, 1 dispatcher, and 1 tech.

Requirements:
Five years’ experience in transportation and logistics.
Terminal management or Dispatch experience preferred
Excellent timemanagement and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability toprioritize and plan work activities.
Able to analyze, interpret, and use data toadapt to schedule changes and unexpected events
Above average computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
