The Record Associate will be onsite with the client to ensure the security, preservation, and proper management of records. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Location: 2211 Congress Street, Portland, Maine 04102
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18 – $20 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and listen to customers to understand inquiries and provide accurate, prompt assistance
  • File and retrieve documents (hard copy, electronic, microfiche) as required
  • Coordinate creation, receipt, storage, retrieval, and disposition of records
  • Ensure security and preservation of records in records centers and inactive records
  • Apply retention schedules to inactive records
  • Answer verbal, telephone, written, and email inquiries regarding record requests efficiently
  • Prepare new files within records system guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related products

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to grasp, lift, and move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a capacity of 60 lbs
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, or sit for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity for operating office machinery
  • Ability to frequently lift or move 40 lbs or more
