Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, the PSR plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth.
Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
Process payments and provide receipts.
Address patient inquiries and resolve concerns with empathy and efficiency.
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, and documentation.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare systems is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems and Epic
