Description
As a Patient Transport Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining day to day operations of team members of the Logistics team. You may also perform teaching and training functions, dispatching function, and clerical duties for the Logistics function. Other role requirements include:
- Equipment maintenance, cleaning and disinfection
- Assisting in the management of decedent affairs
- Training new hire staff
- Guiding and instructing Techs on how to perform their assigned duties and maintaining daily huddles.
- Support for all aspects of medical supply & equipment services. Supply chain management to optimize acquisition and par level management of all supplies and equipment.
- Resolve day to day tasks completed on timely manner and actively involve in finding backorder supplies for substitutes.
- Serves as Department Safe Patient Handling Champion
- Maintaining and posting daily shift activity logs and productivity
- Conducting administrative walkthroughs to ensure Techs quality of work is in compliance.
- Serving as the Department liaison to conduct service interactions and recoveries
Salary Range: $33.96- $69.54 Hourly
Qualifications
Required:
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Understanding of basic medical terminology and CareConnect (Logistics Dashboard)
- Experience in logistics, patient transport, lift team, medical supply, equipment, and/or procedure rooms
- Ability to transport patients in medical equipment using correct body mechanics.
- Ability to follow established lift/transfer procedures in a safe and competent manner such as repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, standing, and sitting for long periods of time; and lift, push, and pull a minimum of 150lbs.
- Interpersonal skills to interact diplomatically and sensitively with patients.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language.
- Maintain cooperative working relationship with co-workers and all hospital staff.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to complete, lead and direct assignments in a timely manner.
