We’re seeking a polished and professional Senior Receptionist & Switchboard associate to provide front-desk and administrative support. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a fast-paced office environment.
Location: 51 JFK Parkway, Suite 120, Short Hills, NJ 07078 (parking provided; limited public transportation)
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Temporary (covering employee leave; potential for permanent conversion)
Dress Code: Professional business attire
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors; check in guests and issue access badges.
- Answer and transfer a high volume of calls nationwide.
- Manage conference room bookings and maintain the scheduling system.
- Coordinate catering orders and meeting arrangements.
- Perform light administrative tasks, including invoice entry and occasional work in Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain office security protocols and uphold a professional front-desk appearance.
- Provide PC support and other administrative assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2+ years of receptionist or switchboard experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Excellent phone and email etiquette, with clear and professional communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Office environment with normal lighting and temperature.
- Primarily sedentary work with some walking, standing, bending, and light lifting.
