Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Finance/Accounting Analyst to join our team on a contract basis through the end of the year, with the possibility of extension. This role will provide critical support across financial consolidation, accounting, and reporting activities, while also partnering with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and business value. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and finance, experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or the alcoholic beverage industry, and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Review and support the consolidation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) from supporting MCI business units.
Assist with monthly Operating Executive Team (OET) meetings, including agenda coordination, minute-taking, and tracking/communicating follow-up items.
Track customer accounts receivable aging to improve collections; review and analyze Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) by customer on a monthly basis.
Provide ad-hoc reporting to customers and collaborate with HP to manage customer accounts effectively.
Support the monthly accounting close and consolidation by preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with financial controls.
Contribute to global Finance initiatives, including implementation of the new global consolidation tool, standard chart of accounts project, and ongoing Free Cash Flow improvement projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting; CPA required.
1–3 years of accounting and/or finance experience.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
Commercial experience within the alcoholic beverage industry or consumer packaged goods (CPG) strongly preferred.
SAP knowledge a plus.
Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modeling.
Strong analytical skills to conduct research, perform data analysis, and resolve complex issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible, detail-oriented, and customer-service focused.
