Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Location: Raleigh, NC
Base salary: $60,000-$70,000/yr.
Commission: Yes
We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to manage and expand a defined sales territory in the Raleigh, NC area. This role is a blend of existing accounts management and new business development, while calling on customers in the industrial, construction & manufacturing sectors. This person will thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented sales culture while bringing the drive and independence needed to grow revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Territory Management & Business Development:
- Oversee an established book of accounts within the southeast Raleigh area while prospecting for net-new customers.
- Execute a hybrid sales strategy; cold calling, networking, on-site visits to construction sites, and attending customer events.
- Serve as a trusted partner to GCs, contractors, and industrial clients, ensuring long-term account growth and customer satisfaction.
- Inside Sales support designated to assist the territory, with additional coverage from the broader sales team.
*Customer Engagement:
- Represent the company at safety stand-downs, customer-hosted events, and industry networking opportunities.
- Partner closely with inside sales and support staff to ensure seamless customer service and problem resolution.
- Ongoing vendor and product manager training.
*Sales Process & Reporting:
- Track account growth, sales activity, and pipeline progress; participate in monthly manager check-ins and quarterly reviews.
- Success Metrics (KPIs)
o Net new account acquisition and growth of existing accounts.
o Overall revenue growth and collections in assigned territory.
o Depth and quality of customer relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of previous sales experience within the industrial, construction, or manufacturing industries.
- Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
- Skilled in developing new business while nurturing existing account relationships.
- Will spend time on-site with customers, including job sites and safety events.
- Skilled communicator and collaborator, able to excel in team dynamics.
