Description
A Rehab Aide’s primary functions include departmental and equipment maintenance, clerical duties, assisting in patient treatment, and other activities as directed. The Rehab Aide may be assigned to/rotated between clinical areas in inpatient (IP) or outpatient (OP) care, as well as weekend/holiday coverage, as needed. Salary range: 22.12 -30.28 hourly Qualifications
- Some working experience in hospital setting and/or Therapy setting preferred
- Valid BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, standing, sitting during an eight to ten-hour day. Normal duties involve frequent lifting (up to 35 pounds), transferring patients, pushing a wheelchair up to 500 feet.
- Sufficient dexterity and strength to perform standard duties including assisting in patient care, documentation and equipment use.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Ability to work as a member of the team, including sharing knowledge, giving and receiving feedback, taking initiative to assist others, problem solving and providing an atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Skill in working in distracting, pressured environments with flexibility, good concentration, minimal supervision, and frequent interruptions
- Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction
- More than 2 years of relevant rehab aide experience qualifies for Rehab Aide 2 title
