Postdoctoral Research Position University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10646 The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine, at the University of California, Los Angeles invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Position. The laboratory is located within CHS under the direction of Dr. Mingxia Gu. Our research group is at the forefront of pioneering the next generation of human-induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived organoid models. We focus on creating organoids with precise cell types, architecture, and functions that closely mirror their in vivo counterparts. Our mission is to harness these advanced models to unravel the mysteries of early human development, enhance organ regeneration and repair, and develop precision medicine for patients with various cardiopulmonary disorders. Collaborating with developmental and stem cell biologists, data scientists, clinicians, bioengineers, and entrepreneurs, our team is united by the common goal of accelerating discovery and facilitating bench-to-bedside translational science. We are thrilled to share our novel findings with the scientific community, as showcased in recent publications in Cell Stem Cell (2020, 2021), Science Translational Medicine (2021), Circulation Research (2022), Nature Cardiovascular Research (2024), and Cell (2025).
