Description
Join our sanitation team as an Entry-Level Waste Collection Helper and help keep communities clean and safe. You’ll assist with loading residential and commercial waste, recyclables, and yard debris into collection trucks.
Key Responsibilities
Collection and Maintenance:
· Safely load materials into garbage or recycling trucks.
· Clean debris and maintain tidy pickup zones.
· Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure safe operations.
Safety and Compliance:
· Follow all company and traffic safety rules.
· Wear reflective gear and PPE at all times.
· Participate in pre-route safety meetings.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Report route progress, missed stops, and hazards.
· Complete daily checklists for truck cleanliness and condition.
Work Environment and Expectations
Work is outdoors year-round and physically demanding, involving lifting up to 75 lbs repeatedly. Reliability and teamwork are key to keeping routes efficient and safe.
Requirements
· Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
· Physically able to perform repetitive lifting and outdoor work.
· Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, paid training, paid time off. Schedule: Monday–Friday, early morning start times.
