As a Security Guard – Hospital Patrol in Arcadia, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic healthcare environment, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Day Time Mon 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM Tue 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM Fri 10:00 PM – 06:30 AM Sat 10:00 PM – 06:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to those at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, adhering to established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Document observations, incidents and activities in detailed written reports as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Assist staff, visitors and/or patients with directions and general information, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, site staff and the public while performing patrols and other security-related tasks.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or irregularities and promptly report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
