Postdoctoral Position in Infectious Diseases-Schaenman (PI) 2025-2026 University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10679 The laboratory of Dr. Elaine F. Reed (Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine) ( https://reedlab.dgsom.ucla.edu ), in collaboration with Dr. Joanna Schaenman (Division of Infectious Diseases) at the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA, is seeking applications for a full-time postdoctoral position. The Reed lab is part of the Immunology, Inflammation, Infection and Transplantation Research Theme (I3T), located in the state-of-the-art South Tower CHS research building known for its multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment. The candidate will conduct research in transplant immunology in work understanding the impact of immunosuppressive medications in kidney transplant recipients using a systems immunology approach combining transcriptomics, epigenetics, T cell receptor diversity analysis, and functional T cell assays. The focus of the project will be to dissect the impact of post-transplant immunosuppression at the molecular and cellular level to understand vulnerability to infection in kidney transplant recipients. A Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. is required. The candidate will benefit from a highly collaborative and diverse team of investigators at UCLA including experts in immunogenetics, immunology, transplantation, infectious disease, biostatistics and computational immunology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
