For this year, the initial contract will be DecemberJune; any potential renewals would follow the standard OctoberJune cycle. Position Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for the marketing and the management of print and digital deliverables for large-scale university events including programs, signage, website content and assets, emails, social media, and other event collateral) for Bruin Day events. The Project Manager will act as a liaison between team members, vendors, freelancers and campus partners, and must be highly organized, able to work independently, and have strong communication skills and attention to detail. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the calendar to track important dates and meet deadlines. Additionally, they will track costs related to the events and run budget reports to present to Bruin Day Co-chairs. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications 2 years experience as a project manager in an ad agency or similar comparable environment including hands-on experience supporting marketing programs and working with production/creative teams to achieve marketing goals. (Preferred) Experience staying within marketing budgets during execution. Accurate math skills including but not limited to calculating ratios, rates and percentages sufficient for analysis. (Required) 1. Understanding of the principles and practices of marketing. (Required) 2. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to independently prioritize and complete multiple projects, meet competing deadline requirements with frequent interruptions, and monitor projects in many different stages. (Required) 3. Ability to develop schedules and meet deadlines with demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects with minimal direction. (Required) 4. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail. (Required) 5. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop and maintain respectful, effective and cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external constituents. (Required) 6. Ability to prepare and conduct client and/or vendor meetings in a professional manner in a way that facilitates communication and understanding. (Required) 7. Outstanding English written and oral communication skills, including accurate grammar and spelling. Excellent editing and proofreading skills, and critical thought process to ensure copy meets marketing needs. (Required) 8. Maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule to accommodate department needs; able to work weekends for events and programmatic activities. (Required) 9. Strong knowledge and hands-on use of PC hardware and software programs to include proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications. (Required) 10. Familiarity with project management tools and ticket systems (e.g. Wrike); skilled in creating and developing highly effective production processes. (Required) 11. Proactive, self-starter able to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment with little supervision while maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude.
