Position Summary Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Energy Services and Building Controls (ES & BC), the Energy Management Specialist will provide the Department’s research, analysis, and administrative support functions. Lead the day-to-day administration of the ES prepare reports; collect and analyze data to support the billing of utilities used on and off campus. Maintain organized documents and electronic materials; assist in developing and implementing administrative processes to improve efficiency and productivity; develop and maintain tracking systems for invoices, projects, schedules, and other related facilities management functions. Create and edit presentations, spreadsheets, and documents; facilitate miscellaneous administrative projects as assigned; and participate in labor relations activities, including grievance procedures and preparation of disciplinary actions. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications Experience working in administration. (Required) Advanced technical literacy in the Microsoft environment, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. (Required) Demonstrated computer skills for word processing, spreadsheet preparation, presentations, and database management.Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments while performing against deadlines, frequent interruptions, and competing priorities. (Required) Superior proficiencies in writing, editing, and proofreading to produce professional reports, data analysis, and correspondence. (Required) Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate information, identify problems, and to suggest solutions and method of implementation. (Required) Proven ability to utilize data from various sources to produce reports and provide detailed analysis. (Required) Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the University, regulatory agencies and other external organizations. (Required) Demonstrated ability to work accurately with attention to detail. (Required) Ability to work proactively with minimal direction, to make independent judgments, and to discern when additional authorization is required. (Required) Ability to learn quickly and retain extensive knowledge of systems, policies, and regulations. (Required) Proficiency in using Tableau. (Preferred) Proficiency in using EnergyCAP.
