We’re looking for a detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to support our HR team in managing the full lifecycle of new hire onboarding. In this role, you will coordinate with department leads, hiring managers, and IT to ensure seamless onboarding for every new employee. This is a temp-to-hire role, offering growth opportunities within the HR function.
Key Responsibilities
Manage open requisitions: collaborate with department leads to build and maintain job requisitions.
Draft and send offer letters.
Coordinate background checks working closely with hiring managers.
Create and send welcome emails to new hires.
Work with the IT department to set up equipment for new employees (laptops, access, etc.).
Track all onboarding activities and status updates using Excel.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in Paycom (or relevant HR/ATS system).
Act as a liaison between hiring managers, IT, and other teams to drive a smooth onboarding experience.
Support new hires during their first days, ensuring they feel welcome and prepared.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, or onboarding.
Proficiency with Excel and HRIS systems (Paycom preferred).
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Bonus: experience working with IT teams for equipment onboarding.
