Growing non-profit organization is looking to hire (6) Residential Aide’s Needed – Part Time

(3) Swing Shift Saturday and Sunday 3pm -11:30pm
(3) Graveyard shift Saturday and Sunday 11pm – 7:30am

The company is looking for individuals who have worked in the non-profit sector, healthcare or similar industries working as a monitor, residential aide, case manager, counselor, drug counselor, nurse, home health aide or similar working with individuals dealing with displaced individuals, displaced families, adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, homeless population, alcohol, and drug abuse, elder care or similar environments.

COMPANY DOES REQUIRE A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:

  • Monitor security cameras from monitor and or TV screen
  • Respond to client’s needs in a prompt, patient and professional manner
  • General monitoring of clients to ensure that a safe and welcoming atmosphere is maintained
  • Follow all organization policies and procedures
  • Complete all daily logs, including needed signatures and provide complete end-of-shift reports to the oncoming staff and to the Program Manager.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Monitor the house and residents,
  • Document and report unusual occurrences, incidents, and injuries.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Always maintain resident confidentiality.
  • Answer telephones and take messages for residents and staff, monitor doors, and greet visitors
  • Other Tasks that may be required by the Program Manager

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment, or any other social services program serving the homeless or similar
  • If a recovering alcohol and/or drug user, you must have at least 1 year of continuous sobriety.
  • Strong Microsoft operating systems skills (Outlook, Office, Word, Excel, etc.) along with database familiarity
  • Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflict, including dealing with un-cooperative clients
  • Will consider candidates with lived experiences
  • Proof of valid California Driver’s License required, Clean Driving Record
  • Background check required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Patient with the ability to create a calming influence in stressful situations.
  • Act as a role model always while putting residents needs first.
  • Collaborative team player who is adaptable, organized, consistent, and compassionate with good communications skills.
