Under the direction of the CMU Supervisor and
Unit Director, the Per Diem Admin Clinical Care Partner / Video
Monitor Tech plays a key role in supporting patient safety and
continuous observation across UCLA Health campuses. In this 6-hour shift role,
you will provide break relief coverage for both video
(AvaSure/CareView) and ECG monitoring, ensuring uninterrupted
surveillance and timely communication of patient safety concerns or rhythm
changes.

Working closely with
the Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) team, you’ll promptly
notify the assigned RN of any changes in patient condition via Epic Secure Chat
or phone, helping to maintain the highest standards of clinical
vigilance and care. Your commitment to attentiveness, teamwork, and

Salary range: $31.17-$31.17 Hourly

Qualifications

We’re seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated healthcare professional with:

Required:

  • Active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness in a high-volume monitoring environment

Preferred:

  • EKG Cardiac Monitor tech; capable of analyzing EKG arrythmia – highly preferred
  • Previous experience in a Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) or Video Monitoring Unit (AvaSure/CareView)
  • Familiarity with Epic or other electronic health record communication platforms
  • Prior work experience in acute care, intermediate care, or telemetry settings

    Schedule

    • Shift: Minimum of two 6-hour
      shifts per week (9:30 PM – 4:00 AM, including coverage for breaks and
      transitions)
    • Nights: Variable (Sunday-Saturday);
      minimum of two weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
    • Reports to: CMU Supervisor / Unit
      Director

    This position could
    have the potential to float between the UCLA Health Santa Monica Medical Center,
    UCLA Health West Valley Medical Center, and the UCLA Health Ronald Regan
    Westwood Medical Center.
