As a Security Officer – Government Facility Patrol Unarmed in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including both the interior and perimeter, to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious behavior according to established protocols.
- Assist with access control, verifying credentials and managing visitor flow as needed.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as situations require.
- Support a welcoming environment for all visitors while maintaining awareness of the unique needs of a public, government-affiliated location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
