We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Document Processing & Mailroom Clerk to support daily operations within a high-volume office environment. This role involves handling incoming mail, preparing documents for scanning, and ensuring high accuracy and organization throughout the workflow. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and able to work efficiently with both team members and clients.
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
Location: 8950 Cypress Waters Blvd., Coppell, TX 75019
Dress Code: Casual – Jeans and T-shirts allowed (no holes, political statements, or profanity).

Responsibilities

  • Open and sort incoming mail promptly and carefully.
  • Remove all contents from envelopes without damaging documents.
  • Remove staples, paper clips, binder clips, and any other fasteners.
  • Separate all pages thoroughly to prevent scanning issues.
  • Organize documents by department or processing type.
  • Identify multi-page documents and separate accordingly.
  • Apply correct barcodes or department-specific cover sheets.
  • Ensure cover sheets are placed accurately for scanner recognition.
  • Inspect documents for damage, folds, tears, or sticky notes.
  • Flatten pages and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Group documents into properly sized batches for scanning.
  • Align pages neatly to prevent jams or misfeeds in Kodak scanners.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs (copy paper boxes, UPS packages).
  • Operate walk-up multifunction copier devices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Previous experience in mailroom, document handling, or copy center preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required based on company policy.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite.
