We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our client’s Rental Services sales organization. This role is responsible for driving market growth, improving customer satisfaction, and guiding a high performing sales team. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, strategic sales experience, and knowledge of the equipment rental and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement short- and long-term sales strategies to increase market share, revenue, and customer retention.
- Lead, mentor, and support rental sales representatives; oversee training, performance management, and day to day coaching.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams—including operations, marketing, HR, and fleet management—to support departmental goals and accelerate growth.
- Conduct joint customer visits, ride along, sales blitzes, and other field activities.
- Monitor sales metrics and provide reporting, insights, and recommendations to leadership.
- Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns aimed at increasing lead generation and customer engagement.
- Ensure consistent use of CRM tools for accurate reporting, pipeline management, and customer activity tracking.
- Manage key accounts and participate in major contract or government bid opportunities.
- Oversee sales-related budgeting, expense control, and commission reviews.
- Analyze market trends and competition to support strategic planning and fleet/rate recommendations.
- Promote and model a safety-first culture across all activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or a related field.
- Strong technical understanding of rental equipment, construction equipment, or related industries.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and customer relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
