The Manager, National Athlete Marketing will lead the development and execution of nationally relevant (USA) athlete marketing campaigns and initiatives that require a high degree of cross-departmental alignment. This role will maximize the impact of Red Bull’s USA athlete and sports team portfolio across the full marketing ecosystem, driving integration into pillar campaigns, brand moments, media, culture, and commercial opportunities. The Manager will proactively identify opportunities, translate them into actionable plans, and execute programs that deliver measurable brand and business value. This includes contributing to annual business planning and multi-year long-lead initiatives while ensuring authenticity and sportive credibility remain foundational to everything we do.

  • CAMPAIGN & PROJECT LEADERSHIP

    Lead the development and execution of athlete-driven marketing and media plans for athletes with the highest potential for national and global impact, in partnership with AMMs and Sports Marketing counterparts

    Act as national Athlete Marketing lead for major U.S. initiatives including Pillar (Occasions) campaigns, Wings for Life, and a key contributor to major global initiatives (e.g., World Cup, LA28 Olympics)

    Ideate and co-develop creative concepts for athlete-led projects, activations, and content aligned with national campaign messaging (Occasions, Pillars, etc)

  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION & REPRESENTATION

    Serve as the Athlete Marketing connection point across all marketing verticals (Brand, Media Network, Culture) as well as Sales & Distribution to drive consistent and scalable integration of athletes and sports teams across the business

    Maintain a real-time pulse on the USA athlete & sports team portfolio to efficiently vet and facilitate inbound opportunities and requests from cross-functional teams

  • INSIGHTS, ANALYTICS & STRATEGIC FOUNDATIONS

    Use available insights and analytics (PEMO Dashboard, Coverage Database, Playground Inights) to track, evaluate, and report performance metrics including reach, engagement, brand equity impact, and product positioning

    Develop and maintain deep sports industry knowledge across priority sport playgrounds to inform strategy and support identification of high-impact opportunities

  • INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS, SYSTEMS & PROCESSES

    Build and maintain internal tools and communications that scale athlete marketing knowledge throughout the organization; manage the RBNA Athlete & Team Marketing page on The Hub

    Manage centralized Athlete Marketing processes (athlete branding inventory and product fulfillment) to streamline execution and ensure consistency across the department

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 3+ years of consumer marketing experience; sports marketing strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading national level campaigns and working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience managing relationships with athletes and sports teams, or similar high-profile talent.
  • Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with exceptional communication and project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; visual design or creative production experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital/social performance analytics platforms and ability to turn insights into action a plus.
