What You Will Be Doing
As a Floral Manager, you will direct and control the operation of the Floral Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, quality, freshness, and selection. You will lead a team by supervising, motivating, and training personnel, while managing inventory, merchandising, and seasonal promotions. This role combines creativity with leadership, as you will design custom floral arrangements, create effective displays, and maintain compliance with company standards.
You will play a key role in driving departmental sales and profitability, managing costs, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend artistry with operational excellence in a dynamic retail setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, schedule Floral Department personnel, and performance management.
- Required to manage online services such as FTD and DoorDash.
- Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly service.
- Order, receive, price, and merchandise floral products, plants, and accessories.
- Ensure product freshness, proper conditioning, and compliance with storage guidelines.
- Create custom floral arrangements, corsages, bows, and seasonal displays.
- Monitor sales trends, seasonal promotions, and customer feedback to optimize inventory and merchandising.
- Manage departmental sales, gross margin, and cost objectives.
- Maintain accurate records, process administrative paperwork, and perform periodic inventories.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and sanitation schedules.

- Knowledge of merchandising procedures and floral department operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Floral Department or similar retail environment.
- Understanding of perishability, seasonality, and proper handling of floral products.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 lbs, and work in varying conditions (coolers and outdoor displays).
- Basic math skills and administrative ability for scheduling and sales projections.

About the Team
Pay Transparency:
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.
*For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
